Ages
I know, it's been ages since I've posted here, but, now it’s update the blog time.
First, I am a teacher.
Yes, the State (Denver public schools specifically) has entrusted me to educate (a portion of) our young citizens and (hopefully) prepare them for the future. I am asked to deliver these skills in three areas: Law 2 “Liberties”, US History 2 “since 1920”, and Intro to International Business. I'm filling in for a teacher who has gone out on maternity leave for the semester.
This is the perfect job for me really. :) Perhaps the neatest part of all this is that I am teaching with a special magnet program called the Center for International Studies which occupies a wing of West High school. There are only about 200 kids and 6 teachers in the whole 4 year program, so everyone knows eachother really well. It’s quite a cool program, check it out.
Next, I have an apartment.
Although I love staying in my Mother’s guest bedroom in suburbs, to complement my newfound employment, I have acquired an apartment of my own. This apartment is on the third floor of an art-deco-ish building from the 40s about two blocks south of the Capitol building. Central it is. And, to my worldly friends, this is a two bedroom apartment. Get your reservations in early, because all are welcome to stay anytime a trip to Denver arises on the travel schedule.
That’s it for now, although this is certainly well below expectations for a two-month posting break. However, it is better than nothing. Right? Right.
